Dad came this weekend and we did some home improvement projects. We got rid of the old PVC piping mail box and put up a nicer one and added some trellis for some clematis to grow up. Then we added a trellis for our Don Juan climbing rose…it’s pretty, but after the fact, we realized that the shape us unnervingly similar to that of a coffin… Cassie and Toby really enjoyed spending some time with Poppy too.

Court and I did some remodeling of our entertainment room. We added crown moulding, a chair rail, and new paint. We’re very pleased with the results!!!

Stuff is planted! It loaded down our Explorer nicely. We put in the tree and shrubs today. Here are drawings of the design before and after we got ahold of it. After all the hard work, Cassie got to play in the back yard with her rope some.

More yard work today to get ready to plant stuff tomorrow. We put down the black plastic/cloth stuff to keep out weeds and we tilled the garden to get some veggies growing. We took Cassie to the nearby creek for her first swimming adventure. It took some coaxing…but we got her in…sorta. Tonight was sushi night at the Creason home…and way too much of it went to waste.

Paul and Cathy gave us a hand on some home improvements this weekend. We put in our new countertops (no more purple!) and then did some yard work. We’re working on getting a more inviting look out front, which inolved getting rid of all the lava rocks, grey brick border, reshaping the area, tilling in soil and dirt conditioner (thanks to Steve!), and the next steps .are to add some shrubs. “Get me a shrubbery!” Court made us a great dessert to celebrate the hard work with last night
