Courtney made a wonderful cheesecake (HUGE and “small“)today! It’s got Oreos for crust and in the middle, a sour cream topping, and then a dark chocolate topping on top of that! Mmmm….

Court has today off so I got my birthday breakfast! Grits and cheese casserole (with sour cream and jalapenos in it)…and sausage biscuits! Who knows, we may even get birthday dinner in the next couple days! I love this spreading of the birthday cheer out!

Speaking of wonderful, Courtney brought us dinner to the Gheen’s center last night since I was at school nearly from 8am to 8pm.

Mmmmm…..Court made a four layer “death by chocolate” cake for my birthday!

One week of teaching under my belt… it’s tiring, impossible, rewarding, frustrating, and exciting. Better in some ways than I may have expected but far from perfect. Weekends have a whole new meaning.
