Elise enjoyed playing in the little bit of snow we got.  Afterward, I had to introduce her to hot chocolate. She put her hat and mittens back on inside the house because she was going to see Papa and Emma in Colorado!

We had a good trip to NC and lots of fun with family over the last week.  Both girls did great in the car.  Here are some of the highlights…

Charlotte is two months old!  She started her first smiles around 6-7 weeks – what fun they are!  It was a busy month for our family with the holidays.  Charlotte starred as baby Jesus in the MCE choir program. Elise loved everything about Christmas – the tree, driving around looking at lights, decorating cookies, MCE, and of course, gifts.  She was great about leaving them under the tree until the right time, and we let her open Charlotte’s gifts for her but Elise had to go sit next to Charlotte before she would open her gifts.  How thoughtful!  Elise also got her first haircut – which took about 2 minutes – and did great.  We are glad to be home and settling back into “normal.”

    The fun in January was a bit of snow here and there.  It only takes a little to be great fun!  And little bits are much less overwhelming and easy to walk in.  We enjoyed settling back into “normal” life and sticking pretty close to home.
