Elise had a great birthday party at the park yesterday.  The kids played on the playground, fed the ducks, and enjoyed sandwiches, fruit, goldfish and cake.  Daddy made an excellent Noah’s ark cake, and the kids got goodie bags filled with animal crackers.  There were 7 little people and even more big people - a fun group to be with.  Everything went smoothly and much fun was had by all!

Elise is two years old!  This year has been an amazing time of leaps and bounds in learning.  She has undergone the transformation from baby to little girl.  This month she started sleeping in a “big bed” (twin bed) which completed her room changes.  The process was a little time intensive for a few days, but she caught on quickly.  She enjoys her new bed and learned the new rules quickly (no standing, wait for Mom or Dad to come get her out).  She congratulates herself when we come to get her up - “Good job, Eesie, stay in big bed!”  She now tells us that baby sister is playing in Mommy’s tummy and likes to feel her moving (or pretend that she feels her).  She is very busy and chatty at home, but usually more reserved in public and very quiet around less familiar people.  Shegives great hugs and kisses and likes to sing (Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves the Little Children, Twinkle Twinkle, Rock-a-bye Baby).  She is a wonderful blessing, and we’re having so much fun!

Here are some of the many faces of Elise on her birthday…
