Elise is 15 months old! Did I mention explorer last time? Still true… most people just describe her as “busy”. She is generally very happy but certainly has toddler moods that will change in a blink. One of her favorite playthings right now is washcloths. She’ll gather as many as she can hold and just walk around with her arms full. Sometimes she’ll put them down and gather them back up, wipe the dogs or the table with them or chew on them. And in the bathtub she likes to suck the water out of them. Her least favorite activity is brushing her teeth. Well, she likes to brush them; it’s when we try that it becomes a problem. Bunny is still her favorite, though she has a blanket that she sleeps with now that she has grown quite fond of. She has a smile that will make your day, a giggle that is contagious, and when she snuggles into your shoulder (only when she’s super tired) all is right with the world.

We just returned from celebrating Christmas with family on the Chattanooga-Kernersville-Clemmons-Chattanooga driving tour. (We apparently forgot to unpack the camera in Kernersville.) We all enjoyed visiting with family, and Elise did great in the car. And now it’s good to be home and settle back into normal.
