We had lots of fun with Papa and Emma here last weekend.  Elise enjoyed them so much more this time, and that was fun for us to watch.  We planted pansies, did some yard work, took walks, ate good food, and of course, enjoyed Elise.  Naturally, only activities with Elise made it into the pictures!

We went to the park for a picnic today because the weather was so nice.  Josh and Elise had fun on the swings, and Elise discovered how much fun mulch is!

Happy Birthday, Elise!  We’ve spent the last several days enjoying the birthday celebration.  The celebrations were small, but more our style and we had fun.  I think we made the gift-opening last about four days.  Elise loved the balloons, the chocolate cupcake and opening presents, only hated the birthday hat.

Elise is ONE YEAR OLD!  Happy Birthday, sweet girl!  It has been a wonderful year, and it’s so much fun to watch her grow and learn.  She still loves to push things around (anything not bolted down) on her quest to walking.  She will stand by herself for several seconds and will walk holding someone’s hand for a short distance.  She has become more cuddly and gives great hugs (though not on request).  She loves her bunny and looking at books.  Tooth count is up to 6!

    The fun in January was a bit of snow here and there.  It only takes a little to be great fun!  And little bits are much less overwhelming and easy to walk in.  We enjoyed settling back into “normal” life and sticking pretty close to home.
