This weekend we joined our Sunday School class for a retreat to the Land Between the Lakes park area in Kentucky.  We went hiking, went on a boat ride, saw the bison, and enjoyed time with friends.  Much fun!

All three of us went to Nashville for the weekend.  Elise and I played at the Opryland Hotel while Josh went to a conference.  We bought Elise her first pair of shoes, and Sara and Eli came to visit us for the day.  It was great to see them again!

Yesterday for Labor Day we went swimming.  Elise tried out her new life jacket - works great!  Cassie enjoyed frisbee in the pool, and Toby was our lifeguard. 

Elise is 11 months old!  The people in the nursery always describe her as “busy”!  Imagine that.  She enjoys playing, especially with her new push toy (or anything else really she can push around the room).  She likes to look at books and tries to put them back on the shelf now after taking them down.  She has also learned to give kisses, much to her delight and ours!  And she has learned to ask for “more” food which she uses most often with cheese… she is her father’s daughter!  Tooth count is still at 5.
