Wow, we spent the morning and early afternoon working in the yard. Court planted 75 bulbs, moved about a ton of lava rocks, and carefully placed sod on bare spots. I created a natural area in the back yard (hence the sod), mowed, and planted 10 trees. One I ganked from the railroad tracks. It was just growing out of the rocks. Today was the first time I mowed the back yard…not as easy as the front, but man does it look better now.

Okay, mowing, I can handle, painting, we can handle, minor repairs, we can handle…this we cannot! Owning a home ought come with a list of warning lables! I’m not sure which is more scary, that it was three feet from our OPEN sliding glass door (the very door that Court and I had mentioned not two hours ago how nice it was that we could leave it open) or that it looked lumpy…like it was gonna bless us with a mess more like it!

We got back last night from a week in Winston. Cassie had a blast (and we did too!!). Gavin sure is growing up. Many naps where had by all. We can’t believe how much NeeNaw likes Cassie…Patches still isn’t sure.

Our fence is up! Cassie went nuts in it! Silly daddy decided to water the grass though, so now it’s muddy and she can’t go out.
