I’ve been officially accepted into the Doctoral Program at Southern and will start my PhD in Christian Counseling and Family Studies in January. Woo hoo!!

Man it has been a beautiful weekend!!! I can’t describe how wonderful it is to have all the windows open in the house, the breeze blowing through, and the sound of rustling leaves outside. We slept with the window open last night and enjoyed the breeze, the pitter patter of rain, and the occasional roar of a train.

Well, we couldn’t really put up book cases full of books on a wall that we knew we’d be painting…so, we went ahead and started painting today. Just one room for now so that I can unpack my office. I had no idea how difficult it would be to paint with a dark color (deep red/burgundy) on a light color (lavender..ew) wall. One coat of primer and two coats of paint later, it looks darn good!

All moved in! We had ten wonderful people show up at 9AM and we were completely unloaded at the new house by 11:30AM. Now I call that service! Now to get all those boxes unpacked…

Tonight, we are spending the night at our new house! No bed yet, but we’re busting out our sleeping bags!
