Announcement: Since we’re moving and our cable service will not be at our new place for a week or so, this site will be down beginning November 1 and will be back up…??? Who knows. As soon as possible. Sorry.

We went to see a great concert last night!! LaRue, Ten Shekel Shirt, and Bebo Norman. It had to be the best Christian concert I’ve ever been to. The girl from LaRue had way too much energy, but can sing well. I was not familiar with Ten Shekel Shirt, but liked them. They were a bit heavy, but well done. Bebo was spectacular. We were worried that “Bebo and full band” would not be cool, but a full band for him is one guy (Gabe…who played guitar, dobro, hammered dulcimer, and piano) playing with him on 80% of the songs, and two others (guitar and percussion) playing on 15% of the songs. Bebo has a great sound, well written, meaningful lyrics, and a great stage presence (hilarious!!!). Check out pics and video.

The closing on the house went smoothly, but it seemed much too quick for as much money as was changing hands. Maybe I’d feel better about giving away such a big check if the process took longer…. On the other hand, we signed every form imaginable, so that sort of makes up for it. At least you have a hand cramp when you leave so you feel like you’ve done something.

We talked to a lady today about a litter of English Springer Spaniel puppies! We want one!!! If everything falls into place, we may get to bring one home in January!

We went to Huber Farm with our Open Doors Bible Fellowship. It was raining, so we didn’t get to pick out pumpkins..but we got fed well! The poor waitress had a time with serving 16 (two of which were youngins). The fried green maters were disappointing…we’re not fans of the corn meal batter.
